The 80 grit medium emery cloth is designed to sand and finish steel, copper piping, brass, iron, aluminum and stainless steel. The crocus cloth can be used on either a hand or machine sander. If using an orbital sander, the crocus cloth can be cut into a 1/2 sheet, 1/3 sheet, or 1/4 sheet to fit the sander.
